It was more of the same for the Golden Eagles men's basketball team today as head coach Donnie Tyndall had his team practicing again in preparation for the squad's trip to The Bahamas next week.
From August 12th through the 19th, the black and gold will play 5 different foreign all-star teams from surrounding countries like the Virgin Islands and Turks and Caicos.
It's not all fun and games however, as the focus of the trip is to create better team cohesion and knock off rust from the offseason.
Tyndall spoke at the end of practice about what he's seen from his players so far.
"I like our energy level. I don't think by any way shape or form are we in game condition right now, but that's kind of by design. I think we wanted to go into this fall having played 5 extra games and 2 weeks extra practice," Tyndall said.
"We're finding our way. The new guys are playing with a lot energy. The experienced guys have done a nice job of trying to lead so far."
