2 condos gutted by fire displaces 6 residents

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

An early morning fire gutted two condos and left six people displaced, Phoenix Fire Department authorities said.

Firefighters said the two condos were engulfed in flames when they arrived at 3102 E. Clarendon at around 2:45 a.m.

It took the coordination of 35 firefighters to extinguish the fire.

Two pets were found dead in the smoldering debris.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

The American Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter is assisting those who fled their burning homes.

No other information was immediately available.
