TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

A man wanted in a brutal attack was arrested by U.S. Marshals at a Tempe apartment he was hiding out in, according to authorities.

The U.S. Marshal's Office said Christopher Martin Young was wanted by the Yuma Police Department for aggravated assault and burglary.

Beginning in April, Young allegedly abused his girlfriend, leading up to an attack. The victim suffered severe injuries, and Young fled the Yuma area.

Young was arrested on Wednesday at a Tempe apartment complex without incident.
