MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

A couple broke into a Mesa pizzeria July 16, and made off with the safe, police said.

Officers said they need the public's help identifying and locating the suspects.

The robbery occurred at Venezia's Pizzeria at 2721 E. Ellsworth at around 4:50 a.m.

"We've been open for quite a while, and I finally got cameras a year ago and I'm glad I did," said Domenick Montanil.

"It was plain as day. You can see his face (as he's) dragging the safe out," Montanil said.

One of the suspects is described being in his mid to late 40s. He had a medium build. He was last seen wearing mostly white athletic shoes with a dark-colored stripe, long blue jean shorts and a green colored T-shirt over a white T-shirt.

The other suspect is described as being in her 40s. She has a medium build with longer brown or red hair in a ponytail.

The getaway vehicle is described as a silver Dodge quad cab pickup with oxidation on roof and hood. The vehicle has tinted windows, after-market covers on tail lights, a chrome bumper and a license plate in the rear driver's side window. A wheelchair plate is possibly located in the rear window on driver's side, police said.

Police said people can submit any information regarding the crime or identity of the suspects through "submit a tip" on CrimeReports.com or "text-a-tip" to 274-637 (CRIMES). Begin your message with MESAPD. Refer to report numbers 20131970092.
