HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Three young former drug offenders have turned their lives around, with the help of the Forrest County Juvenile Drug Court. They each graduated from the program Tuesday afternoon after spending months going through treatment and other requirements.

Since 2007, 20 offenders have graduated from the drug court. 14 of those who've graduated have gotten their GED's and three have gone on to college.

"This is the ultimate, this is what we work for," said Jacqueline Williams, coordinator of the Forrest County Juvenile Drug Court. "This is what we look for and we're behind them. And we also follow them when they leave here. We check on them from time to time and see how they are doing," she said.

State Senator Joey Fillingane gave the keynote address during the graduation.
