The first annual Stuff the Bus began Tuesday in Hattiesburg
The first annual Stuff the Bus began Tuesday in Hattiesburg. The Salvation Army has partnered with Krispy Kreme of Hattiesburg to collect school supplies for local students.
"We've got folks who are in desperate need of supplies," says Salvation Army Captain Andy Gilliam. "We'll be jumping right in with that and getting help to those kids."
The drive welcomes any type of school supplies, and donors get a sweet reward.
"We're encouraging guests to come in and drop off a single school supply item, which will earn them a free glazed donut," says Krispy Kreme Vice President Billy Dorgan Jr. "And then of course, if you bring a backpack full of school supplies, we will give you a dozen free glazed donuts."
The drop-off location for supplies is the Hardy St. Krispy Kreme location. The drive runs through August 18th.
