HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A 1991 graduate of Hattiesburg High School is returning to his alma mater, this time as principal.

Hattiesburg School District superintendent has selected 40-year-old C. Jermaine Brown as the high school's new principal following an extensive search. Brown will go before the school board on August 6 for board approval.

Brown is currently the director of student services for the Biloxi School District and served as Hattiesburg High's assistant athletic director from 2001-2005.

Brown will replace Robert Sanders, whose contract was not renewed for next year.
