Southern Miss Offers Hitting Camp

In the bright sunshine at Pete Taylor Park, players took the field and swung for the fenses under the instruction of Southern Miss assistant coach Todd McInnis.

While it takes more than a day to rehaul a players form, the goal of the camp was to provide a base for the players to get the most out of their swing to help them and their team in the upcoming season.

Chase Fowler, former golden eagle catcher was on hand to help out in the cages and on the field. He shared his thoughts on helping out some future baseball talent in the Pine Belt.

"I love doing it. I love working with the kids. I might try and coach one day. So, it's kind of a little opening for me."
