The sole survivor of this week's crash that killed three Brooks County High School football players says he's anxious to get back on the football field.

De'Vron Whitfield returned home Thursday night after being released from Shands Hospital in Florida. One of the victims, Shawn Waters, was Whitfield's half-brother.

Coach Maurice Freeman sat down with Whitfield Thursday. He says the young man is recovering quickly and should be able to play this season in honor of his friends.
