Laurel's new mayor wants to replace the city judge

Laurel's new Mayor, Johnny Magee, is settling in to his new office at city hall.

Magee said, most of his department heads will remain the same, but the municipal judge has to go. He said, Judge Cecilia Arnold has been on the bench for 13 years and it's time to bring change to that department.

Also, the City Administrator, Dennis Keveryn, may be on his way out. Keveryn is wanting to work part-time but the council has yet to decided if they will keep him on the payroll.

Magee said he will present all of his appointments for confirmation at the next city council meeting.
