Laurel church hosts annual gospel explosion

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

It was a day filled with music at Mason Park in Laurel on Saturday as Peniel Christian Church hosted its Second Annual Multi-Cultural Gospel Explosion.

The event included all types of music and performances provided by several churches in the area. Pastor Roberto Velez says the purpose of events such as these is not only to bring gospel music of all sorts to Laurel, but to also unite everyone together.

“There's no color line with music, we want to format unity, we want to break the barriers down,” said Peniel Christian pastor, Roberto Velez.

Velez says if you missed this year's gospel explosion; just wait until next years, it's going to be even bigger.
