(RNN) - The No. 1 book on Amazon will not be on stores shelves afterall.

Ballantine Books has canceled the publication of Paula Deen's New Testamant, due out in October. They are latest in a sponsor avalanche for the celebrity chef after she admitted in a deposition to using a racial slur.

Walmart, Target, Home Depot, JC Penney and Sears are among the companies that have also ended their contracts with Deen. Home shopping network QVC said they will "take a pause" in their relationship, but seemed to leave the door open for the future.

As companies bail, fans have sent her cookbooks up to the top of the Amazon charts.

Her 2011 release, Paula Deen's Southern Cooking Bible, currently sits at No. 2 on Amazon and her 2009 release, Paula Deen's The Deen Family Cookbook is No. 15.
