Sabreliner lays off 56 employees

PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) -

Sabreliner laid off 56 employees last week.

Steve Sperry, Vice President of Business Development at Sabreliner, says general economic slowdown and sequester led to the cuts.

Sperry says this impacts 35 hourly and 21 salary employees.

Sabreliner has locations in Perryville, Ste. Genevieve, St. Mary and Clayton.

Sabreliner does maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft, engines and their components.
