A resident answered a frantic knock at his front window early Thursday morning and found a group of men pleading for help after a shooting.
Three male victims stated two men entered their home on W.H. Davis Drive armed with handguns.
Once inside, the suspects robbed two Tennessee State University students of money and cell phones.
During the robbery, one student was shot and another was struck in the head with a gun. The victims then went to a home on Scovel Street for help.
Two of the victims were transported to the area hospitals for treatment, but the injuries were not life threatening.
The victims described the attackers as black men about 6' tall; both had on black coats and blue jeans, both had black handguns and their faces were covered.
