NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro police say a mother used her own daughter to help steal from a Nashville Walmart store.

Officers were called to the business on Dickerson Pike on Tuesday after security guards said Kiara Steverson, 22, left without paying for merchandise.

Steverson allegedly had her daughter keep an eye out for security, then had her daughter push the shopping cart out of the store.

Steverson is charged with theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
