Police investigating burglary, arson at Phoenix home

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Police are investigating a burglary and arson at a Phoenix home Friday.

The Phoenix Police Department said the suspects burglarized a home in the 8400 block of North 13th Place and then lit the bedroom on fire.

The Phoenix Fire Department said firefighters were able to knock down the fire quickly.

No one was hurt.

The cost of the damage is not known at this time.

    The Mississippi Military Department, the Nature Conservancy and several state and federal agencies have teamed up to boost the numbers of endangered gopher tortoises at Camp Shelby and the DeSoto National Forest.
