PD: Man shot during El Mirage poker game

EL MIRAGE, AZ (CBS5) -

In a scene reminiscent of the Old West, a poker game in El Mirage broke into a fight during which one of the participants was shot in an arm.

The men were playing cards at a house in the 12800 block of West Via Camille when the fight broke out, said Assistant Police Chief Terry McDonald, who didn't give a reason for the fight.

El Mirage police said Aron Coffey, 23, pulled a gun and shot Daniel Jolly, 28, who was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his upper left arm about 9:30 a.m. Friday. He's expected to be OK.

Coffey was arrested and booked into the Maricopa County Fourth Avenue Jail on one count of aggravated assault.
