Advice for the college graduate: Keep looking and learn to laugh

(RNN) - A degree does not guarantee a job, and some graduates have already or will soon find that out.

The good news is people are graduating college at an unprecedented rate.

The bad news is half of them will be unemployed or working in low-paying jobs unrelated to their field of study.

Nine or 10 months of unemployment (the average time, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics) can have its ups and downs.

For those who are not prepared for post-college life without a steady paycheck, this is a guide for the next year.
