PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A Queen Creek woman has claimed the $1 million Powerball second-prize winning ticket from the drawing on May 18.

Valerie Sanchez is the last of three people in Arizona to collect a second prize winning ticket from the record-breaking $590.5 million jackpot last month.

On Saturday, Sanchez decided to get her Powerball tickets from her car and check them for the draw. She saw that one of the 10 lines she purchased was a $1 million winner, the Arizona Lottery said.

Her advice to other Lottery players is to "check your tickets."

Sanchez purchased her winning ticket at the Chevron at 1990 S. Alma School Rd. in Chandler.

This is the 24th $1 million Powerball second prize winning ticket sold in Arizona since $2 Powerball launched in January 2012.
