Police searching for man following robbery at ETX store

Released by the Tyler Police Department:

TYLER, TX - On Saturday at approximately 9:35 p.m., officersresponded to a commercial robbery at the Dollar General, 2724 W. Gentry Pkwy in Tyler.

The two employees working inside the store observeda white or Hispanic male enter through the front door. His face was concealedwith what appeared to be a gas mask and was armed with a black pistol gripshotgun. The suspect pointed the gun at the employees and demanded money. Afteran undetermined amount of money was taken, he fled the scene on foot, runningNorth bound toward W. Gentry.

The employees were unharmed during the incident.The suspect was described as being between 5'10 - 6'0'' tall, approximately 145 lbs,with brown hair. He was wearing a black or blue jacket, red T-shirt, and bluejeans.  At this time there is no further information pertaining to thecase.

This incident is still under investigation.

Anyone with information aboutthis case is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppersat 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).  Crimestoppers will pay up to$1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against thesuspects in this case or any felony case.
