Flames still rising from Soso couples' house

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

On Wednesday, flames still rose from the home of an elderly Soso couple's house that caught fire Tuesday afternoon shortly after 3p.m. 

The couple has lived in the home at 294 Feedmill Rd. for over 60 years.

83-year old Myles Evans and his wife, 81-year old Clynise Evans was home at the time of the fire. According to authorities Myles was outside when the fire started; however, his wife was still inside. She was able to escape with help of family members. The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation by Jones County Sheriff's Department.
