The candidates: Clyde Stewart

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A native of Clinton, Clyde Stewart has spent much of his life in Hattiesburg. He attended Woodley Elementary School as a child and returned to Hattiesburg in 1999 to attend the University of Southern Mississippi. He graduated from USM with Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering.

Clyde has worked as a landscape designer and contractor serving the Hattiesburg and Jackson areas for nearly two decades. A self-employed businessman, Clyde says he has prioritized quality and customer service. Clyde says he has always strived to provide customers with the best and most economical solutions to their landscaping needs. To that end, he studied toward an Executive Masters of Business Administration at Grand Canyon University.

Clyde says his main priority is improving Hattiesburg's bond rating—and consequently attracting more nationally-recognized companies to the area.
