Run-off elections for two Pine Belt Cities

If you live in Laurel or Petal you still have time to get to the polls and cast your vote in the run-off election.

There are several races going on in the city of Laurel. The biggest race is the democratic mayoral race.

Both State Representative Omeria Scott and Ward 6 Councilman Johnny Magee are facing off for the city's top job as mayor.

There is also a special run off election in wards one, five, six, and seven for city council.

Residents in Petal will also have a run-off election for alderman-at-large.

Deadline for voting is 7 p.m. tonight and the general election will be held on June 4.
