Last second FG drops Panthers on road

Posted: Updated:

The Albany Panthers were hoping to keep up their winning ways on the longest road trip of the season against the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks Saturday.

However a 32-yard Evan Selman field goal with a second remaining gave the Steelhawks the victory.

The heartbreaking defeat for the Panthers became official when Ryan Trout missed a field goal try as time expired.

The loss drops the Panthers back to .500 at 4-4.

Albany has lost four of their last five games.

The team is off next weekend before returning home to host Richmond in two weeks.
