Hollywood continues to come to Hattiesburg

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

As the independent film, The Historian, continues on its third day of filming, the well-known Hollywood faces keep coming to Hattiesburg.

Iron Man 3 William Sadler, Falling Skies Colin Cunningham, and Ode to Billie Joe Glynnis O'Connor are now in the Hub City.

Though many might wonder what exactly is it that attracts the actors to this film.

"It was the writing,” said Sadler. “The writing was really good."

“The script was wonderful,” said Cunningham.

“The script is like a gift to actors because there's so much to play," said O’Connor.

While the script is like a gift to the actors, the actors themselves are like a gift to writer, director and producer, Miles Doleac.

“It’s really, really special that these people, these actors, these very, very talented actors looked at this script and said, “Hey this is really worth doing and it's worth doing for a heck a lot less money than we're used to making”, and they are impassioned about this project, that's what so great,” said Doleac.

Miles expects to have the film completed by October. The independent film will be needing lots of extras next week. If you would like to be an extra on The Historian, email historianextras@gmail.com.
