Robber sought in Dollar General theft

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Detectives are seeking to identify a man who robbed a Dollar General on Monday afternoon.

The robber, who was armed with a handgun, entered the store at 1118 Dickerson Pike around 2:30 p.m.

He demanded money from the cash register, and the clerk complied.

Police said the gunman fled on foot, but dropped a BB pistol during his escape.  

He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt that he wore during a separate robbery in the 1100 block of Joseph Avenue.

The robber is a black man, wore an orange watch, is in his mid-30s, about 5'5" tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
