WDAM Viewpoint- Voting Day

Posted: Updated:

Tomorrow begins the election process for over 30 municipalities in our viewing area.  Tomorrow will be the first primary for both parties to decide who will be in the 2nd primary runoff for those who have competition.  Those of you who live in a city will be voting for offices such as Mayor, City Council or Aldermen and other city offices.  This is grass roots politics at its most basic level and probably has more impact on our day to day lives than some of the state and federal elections.  The 2nd primary will be held on May 21st for those who require one and the General Election will be held on June 4th.  Exercise your constitutional right and get out to support and vote for the candidate of your choice.  This is what democracy is all about.

I'm Jim Cameron and that's today's Viewpoint.
