BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A fight at Reggie's Bar in Baton Rouge last week left LSU running back Jeremy Hill suspended indefinitely from the team. Baton Rouge Police have arrested and identified a second suspect involved in the fight.

Police were called to Reggie's Bar in Tigerland around 2:15 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 in reference to a fight, according to an affidavit of probable cause released by authorities.

According to the document, the unidentified 20-year-old victim told officers Hill hit him in the head numerous times. It also stated officers were shown a video of the incident that "clearly shows the defendant striking the victim."

A second suspect, now identified as 20-year-old Robert Bayardo, is accused of hitting the victim and knocking him unconscious, according to BRPD spokesman Cpl. L'Jean Mckneely. Bayardo was arrested Friday morning and charged with second degree battery. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Hill left the scene before police arrived at Reggie's Bar, but was later arrested, Mckneely added. Hill was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and posted a $500 bond.

LSU Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette said head football coach Les Miles is aware of the incident, but will not have any comment until he returns from the NFL Draft and has a chance to review the police report and speak with Hill.

Investigators ask anyone with information on the incident, including the identity of the second suspect, to call BRPD at 389-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.

Hill, 20, was arrested on Jan. 12, 2011 on a charge of oral sexual battery. He pleaded guilty in Jan. 2012 to carnal knowledge of a juvenile, which is a misdemeanor. For that crime, the judge sentenced Hill to two years probation.
