Two people were sent to hospitals with injuries suffered in a two-car crash in Surprise on Monday morning.
One person was flown to John C. Lincoln-North and another was taken to Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, said Autry Cheatham of the Surprise Fire Department.
A third patient refused to be treated at the scene and was taken to a nearby medical facility, Cheatham said.
The collision closed eastbound Bell Road from Grand Avenue to Dysart Road shortly after 7:30 a.m.
Surprise police Sgt. Bert Anzini said witnesses told police one of the vehicles ran a red light. He said impairment was not suspected.
