Former Gov. Winter speaks at Hol-Mac 50th Birthday

BAY SPRINGS, MS (WDAM) -

Former Mississippi Gov. William Winter was the keynote speaker for a 50th anniversary celebration for the Hol-Mac Corporation Friday.

Winter, the state's 57th governor, served from 1980-1984.

Hol-Mac, which makes heavy steel fabrications and hydraulic cylinders, was founded by Charles Holder in 1963.

"Hol-Mac is one of the great examples of local initiative and entrepreneurship," said Winter. Charles Holder and his four sons and their associates really represent the future of the State of Mississippi. This is the kind of industrial development that we need," he said.   

"We have really been blessed as a company all through the years," said Charles Holder. "I feel very proud that we've been in a position to help a lot of people. I'm just very grateful," he said. 

Hol-Mac recently added 40,000 square feet of of manufacturing space and 150 new employees. The company has manufacturing plants in Bay Springs and Winona.
