HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Sacred Heart Catholic High School will be getting a new library and major upgrades to its programs, thanks to a grant from the Asbury Foundation.

The school says it will be getting a total of $338,026.00 to pay for a new library, renovations to the theater, music and art areas, and improvements to the science labs.

Three years ago, Sacred Heart bought the old First Baptist Church property in downtown Hattiesburg to serve as a high school.

And officials say this grant will help finish the conversion.
