Three year-old Addison Stringer will be the Honorary Chair for the 2013 Jones County Relay for Life.

When Addison was five months old, she was diagnosed with langerhans cell histiocytosis; a rare disease that is caused from abnormal cells deriving from bone marrow that migrate from the skin to the lymph nodes.

"It was so overwhelming at first. It's taken a lot of prayer to get by," said Addison's mother, April Stringer.  At eleven months, Addison had a tumor removed, and had to go through a year of chemotherapy following her surgery.  After her remission, surgeons found another tumor.  Since then, she has been going through chemo.

The Jones County Relay for Life will be April 26.
