Police searching for man who robbed Papa John’s at gunpoint

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

The Laurel Police Department is searching for a man who robbed Papa John's on Highway 15 North.

According to LPD Detective Kim Stewart, at approximately 12:15 a.m. Sunday morning, a man walked into the Papa John's on Highway 15 North in Laurel and demanded money at gunpoint.

The suspect is described as a black male, slender build, approximately 6'2" tall, and 170 to 175 pounds. He was dressed in all black, wore white gloves, and had a chrome plated hand gun.

After taking a deposit bag with an undetermined amount of money, the suspect then ran on foot down 20th St. towards McCoy's Building Supply.

No employees or customers were injured.
