LAMAR COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

The winner of the 2013 United Way's "Home Sweet Home Giveaway," Alana Abney Backstrom toured her new home Wednesday.  The Lamar County resident says that she will be selling the home since her husband, Mike Backstrom, is the Lamar County District 1 Supervisor and is required by law to live in his district. Alana is one of over 2,000 people who bought a $100 ticket to win the United Way's contest.

The home, which appraised for $234,000, is in Kings Mill Estates.
