University of Southern Mississippi student, Kelly Liles, noticed the need in her community to provide formal attire to young women in financial need.
In 2010, while attending Oak Grove High School, Liles decided to fill the void and started, Dresses of Hope.
After approximately three years, 350 dresses have been donated to the nonprofit organization by women all over the Pine Belt.
So far a total of 141 dresses have been matched and donated to young women to wear on their special occasion.
Now a freshman in college, Liles hopes to continue with Dresses of Hope and keep bringing smiles to many young ladies.
