Petal couple receives new home thanks to HG-TV & a local contractor

A Petal couple saw their tornado-destroyed house completely rebuilt and it took less than a week.

A new show on HG-TV called ‘Catastrophe Inc.' brings in a team of designers and builders to help victims of natural disasters. Jeff and Ashlie West were selected after his sister entered them in a lottery for the show.

Construction started last Friday Morning, and this Wednesday, exactly 2 months after the storm, they saw their new home for the first time.

"I feel like its like my personality exploded inside of that house, but in a much more beautiful way than I could of myself. Kary is unbelievable. She is a designer. She did an amazing job. And they told us that the whole time she was concerned with it reflecting us and our personalities and she absolutely nailed it." Said Ashlie

    For the past two weekends, Florida Atlantic University left-hander Jake Miednik proved to be kryptonite to the Old Dominion University batting order.
