Petal increases number of wards

PETAL, MS (WDAM) -

As the city Petal grow, so does its wards.

The population has grown to over 10,000 which has resulted in redistricting.

The city previously had four wards and one Alderman At Large. After redistricting, Petal now has six wards and one Alderman At Large.

Instead of voting city-wide, in the next election residents will only vote for mayor, Alderman-At-Large, and the alderman seat in their ward.
