PREVIOUS HOME OPENERS VS. YANKEES Entering the 2013 campaign, the Indians have hosted the Yankees in the home opener 5 times, compiling a record of 2-3. The Tribe's victory in a home opener against the Bronx Bombers came on April 19, 1990, a game in which Greg Swindell pitched into the 7th inning, allowing only 3 hits while striking out 5. The first Cleveland home opener between the Indians and Yankees took place on April 8, 1975 with the Indians claiming a 5-3 victory, riding a 9.0-inning complete game from Gaylord Perry. The Indians played their last home opener in Cleveland Municipal Stadium against the Yankees on April 5, 1993 losing by a score of 9-3. The two teams have met only once to start the season at Progressive Field, also coming up short, 7-1, on April 2, 1996; rookie shortstop Derek Jeter also connected for his first Major League home run.

    The City of Hattiesburg warned its residents about an email scam making its rounds on Tuesday.  "Today, a Hattiesburg resident made city officials aware of an email scam regarding parking tickets," read the email from the city.  All tickets issued by Hattiesburg's Parking Division are paper and will not be delivered electronically, according to city clerk Kermas Eaton.
