Chinn says as mayor, he wants to improve Laurel's infrastructure and create more activities for children.

"The cornerstone of my campaign is that of better infrastructure, paving streets, fixing waterlines and sewer lines, business opportunities, economic development, more jobs and we need a mayor that is going out there, that's going to bring some jobs into this city," Chinn said.

He faces three challengers, Alfred Jordan, Johnny Magee and Omeria Scott, in the May 7 primary.
