Teen arrested in connection with New Franklin homicides

NEW FRANKLIN, OH (WOIO) -

New Franklin Police along with assistance from the Akron Police Department have made a second arrest in connection with the double homicide on Rex Lake Drive Tuesday.

Police now have a 14-year-old juvenile in custody.

They say he played a part in the deaths of 56-year-old Jeffrey Schobert and 59-year-old Margaret Schobert.

The juvenile was charged with two counts of aggravated murder, two counts aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated burglary.

The couple was found murdered in their home Tuesday afternoon by a construction crew.  The Schobert's had been dead in the home for several hours.

Shawn Eric Ford, Jr., 18, is also charged with murder, robbery and grand theft in connection with this incident.
