HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Economic developers and the Hattiesburg downtown business community are gearing up for the 29th annual HUBFEST on Saturday. It's one of the biggest street festivals in the Pine Belt and thousands are expected to attend.

They'll be treated to live music on four separate stages, they'll be able to enjoy lots of different foods and sample the wares of more than 200 vendors.

Organizers say it's a good time to enjoy the downtown area and get to know your neighbors.

"I've been in Hattiesburg only since August, but since then, we've had a hurricane, we've had a tornado and I think our community really needs to get together and celebrate who we are," said Liz Radley, communications/events director for the Area Development Partnership.

A prelude to this year's HUBFEST will be the 10th annual Eaglepalooza in downtown Hattiesburg Friday night.

That concert will feature American Idol winner Phillip Phillips and R&B singer Elle Varner.
