Youth shelter employee arrested for molestation of juvenile

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

Bossier City police have arrested a Johnny Gray Jones Youth Shelter employee for having inappropriate sexual contact with a 16-year old girl at the facility.

According to the Bossier City Police Department, detectives arrested 36-year-old Jermario Tywhunn Jefferson of Shreveport on Saturday after an investigation found Jefferson engaged in a sexual act with the teen on Friday at the shelter located in the 4800 block of Shed Road.

Police say the girl was a resident at the shelter where Jefferson was employed as a shift supervisor.

Jefferson was booked into the Bossier City Jail on a charge of molestation of a juvenile and was later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility. Bond is not yet set.
