Hundreds of Hattiesburg-area children and their parents hit the baseball fields at Vernon Dahmer Park Saturday morning, not to play ball, but to hunt for eggs.
It was all part of the 66th annual Community Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by the Hattiesburg Lion's Club and the City of Hattiesburg.
About 4,000 plastic eggs were laid out on three baseball fields for the youngsters to pick up. Most of them contained candy or toys.
After the hunt, kids played games and some had photos taken with the Easter Bunny.
