On March 22, Jones County Sheriff's Department Deputies were call to 93 West Creek Road in Soso, where a female stated that she was being threatened by her husband.  Upon the deputies arrival they found a 51 year old white male, Alan Dale Tucker at the scene violent and disruptive. Deputy Derick Knight was first on the scene and attempted to calm both parties however Tucker became very violent and irate.  Deputy Knight attempted to gain control of Tucker by using verbal commands, Tucker then struck the deputy several times in an attempt to retrieve his weapon from his side but Knight was able to take Tucker into custody without further incident.

Tucker went before Judge Howell Beech for the initial appearance, while in the court room Judge Beech advised Tucker that he had a pending charge of Domestic Violence from Justice Court and at that time he pled guilty to the Misdemeanor Domestic Violence.  Judge Beech then set bond on Tucker for $25,000 and placed a protection order that does not expire for one year.  Tucker remains in the Jones County Adult Detention Center.
