HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

The search for 27-year-old Bryan Owens is over.  A spokesperson for the Mississippi Department of Corrections says the Yazoo County Community Work Center inmate was captured early Monday in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

According to a news release, Owens and a female accomplice were reportedly spotted in the parking lot of a Pine Bluff Walmart.  Pine Bluff police arrested the duo just after midnight.

MDOC officials said Owens is serving a 12 year sentence for convictions of burglary theft and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon from Harrison County.

He reportedly went missing from a Yazoo County facility around 4:30 Sunday afternoon.

If Owens is convicted of escape, he could have another five years added to his sentence.
