Former Wayne County Judge gets 8 years for rape

WAYNE COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

A former Wayne County Justice Judge Billy Bonner, 74, has been sentenced to prison for raping a 16-year-old girl who was cleaning his home.

Bonner was sentenced to eight years. The judge ordered Bonner to serve five of those years behind bars, three years will be suspended.

Judge Bonner pleaded guilty to the rape, which happened in 2011.

Bonner will be 79 when he is released.

The library is striving to be a tech-savvy environment where not only teens but senior citizens can keep up with the advancement of technology through their cell phones or computers.
