Arrest made for bomb threats to Pine Belt courthouses

An Ohio man has been arrested and charged with making bomb threats to courthouses in five states, including Mississippi.

Lonny Lee Bristow was taken into custody in Mansfield, Ohio Wednesday. The FBI says Bristow bought pre-paid phone cards in November and used them to make bomb threats in Mississippi, Nebraska, Washington, Oregon, and Tennessee.

Bristow is suspected of calling in bomb threats to courthouses in Forrest, Jones, Jasper, and Marion counties, as well as other Mississippi locations during mid December.

Bristow made his initial court appearance in Cleveland, Ohio, Thursday afternoon.
