Domestic disturbance leads to Jones County marijuana arrest

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A Jones County man is in jail after a domestic disturbance led to a drug arrest this week.

Jones County Deputy Regina Newton arrived at the scene on Monday and spoke with the alleged victim. The alleged victim said her boyfriend, Cadaro Jennings, punched her in the head while she was taking items out of her vehicle at his residence.

Jennings then fled in her car with their 5-year-old child.

Authorities caught up with Jennings Wednesday and discovered he was in possession of marijuana and scales for weighing. Authorities said he attempted to dispose of some of the marijuana.

He was apprehended and the child returned.

Jennings has been charged with felony taking of a motor vehicle and felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Jennings remains in the Jones County Adult Detention Center.
