WDAM Viewpoint- A class act

Not only do we congratulate the USM Men's Basketball team for a great season and a great seed in the NIT…we also applaud Head Coach Donnie Tyndall who personally paid for one-thousand student tickets.  Now that demonstrates we have a real class act for a coach.  A coach who cares about his team…about the students and the entire university.  Now that is the kind of act that both shows character and will build character not only in this team…but any team he coaches going forward.  He has turned the program around in more ways than one and we have something to really be proud of when the Golden Eagles hit the hardwood.  We have gone all the way in the NIT before…winning it all in New York City and it can happen again.  So student's take those tickets and go to the game.  In fact, we urge everyone else who can to help fill up the stands to cheer Southern Miss To The Top…as they take on Charleston Southern tomorrow night here at home.  Let's keep cheering this fine team to the top as they go all the way and win another NIT trophy and have the banner year they deserve.

I'm Jim Cameron and that's today's Viewpoint.
