University of Southern Mississippi guard Dwayne Davis earned
Conference USA first-team All-Conference accolades. In his first year
playing for first-year head coach Donnie Tyndall, the senior from
Philadelphia, Pa. is averaging a team-best 15.9 points a game, which
ranks third in Conference USA.
He also ranks seventh in the conference, shooting 43.4 percent from three-point range.

Joy Lee-McNelis's women's basketball team, three Lady Eagles were
named All-Conference performers, lead by non other than first-team point
guard Jamierra Faulkner. The senior set the school record for most
assists in a single season with 578. A native of West Palm Beach, Fla.
she leads Southern Miss with 18.8 points a contest, which ranks second
in Conference USA, and also leads the conference in both assists (6.6)
and steals (3.3) per contest.
Right behind Faulkner is her
freshman teammate Jerontay Clemons, who was named to the all-Freshman
team. Clemons ranks third on the team scoring 10 points an outing, and
her 2.4 steals a night rank ninth in Conference USA.
Both teams head to Tulsa this week to begin the Conference USA tournament, which begins on Wednesday.
